Each year, Terrell ISD partners with the Share Center, the City of Terrell, and the Terrell
Chamber of Commerce to host the Citywide Back-to-School Fair. This year, we plan to take this event on the road and set up the event at our three local Terrell parks (Breezy Hill, Ben Gill, and Arlie White) as a way to better connect with our families and community. A successful component of this annual event is the “Adopt a Classroom” campaign, which ensures that every classroom across the district is equipped with the necessary supplies for a successful school year. It truly takes the efforts of the entire community to see the success of this project, so we would like to extend the invitation for you to join us in our efforts.
HOW IT WORKS:
Adopt a Classroom: A $200 contribution will provide a basic set of school supplies for one Terrell ISD classroom.
Adopt a Grade: A $3,600 contribution will provide school supplies for an entire grade.
Adopt a School: A contribution of $7,000 will provide school supplies for an entire elementary school of your choice. A contribution of $10,000 will provide school supplies for the entire middle school or high school.
While this does not cover the supply needs of every student in the classroom, it drastically cuts down what teachers spend out of their own pockets for supplies.
Teachers will receive information about the individual, business, or local organization that
adopted their classroom, so they are able to personally express their thanks and appreciation. A door tag with the donor name will also hang over the door of each class a donor adopts. If your family, business, church or organization decides to adopt an entire school, a banner recognizing your generous donation will be displayed in the front of the campus.
All donations for the “Adopt a Classroom” campaign will be exclusively allocated for the
purchase of classroom school supplies for students. All contributions will be collected by the
Terrell Share Center, located at 103 Jones Street, Terrell, TX 75160. Please make checks payable to “Citywide Back-to-School Fair.” Checks can be mailed or dropped off to the Share Center directly or to the TISD Administration building located at 700 N.
