STUDENT HANDBOOK & CODE OF CONDUCT
The Terrell ISD Student Handbook and Code of Conduct are available via the district website or hard copy from your campus.
Special Note: The discipline of students with disabilities who are eligible for services under federal law (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973) is subject to the provisions of those laws.
Terrell ISD has a student dress code policy which applies to all students in grades K-12. The dress code promotes a positive learning environment and reflects the values of the school and community.
A complete copy of the TISD dress code policy guidelines is available at each campus, in the student handbook, and on the district website. Each campus also has a list of retail vendors who have indicated that they will stock clothing that meets TISD dress code requirements. School clothing does not have to be purchased from vendors on the list, but must be the equivalent style, color, etc.
Administrators will have complete and final judgment of all matters concerning interpretation of the Student Dress Code. Matters concerning appearance and dress, not specifically covered in the Student Dress Code Policy, shall be within the discretion of the administration.
