Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)
Furlough Middle School is proud to offer the AVID program to our students. AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination is an in-school academic support program that aims to to prepare students for college eligibility and success.
We know that Furlough Middle School is full of students who desire to attend college and who are willing to work hard and yet many do not have the opportunity to be college-ready. Many times, these students are the first in their family to attend college and simply need proper guidance to be successful.
