Adopt a Classroom

Adopt A Classroom

To ensure that our students have the tools needed to be successful, Terrell ISD annually raises funds for the “Adopt a Classroom” campaign. As our student population continues to grow so does the number of classrooms. This year, we have set the goal of raising $60,000 – the largest goal to date for this program.

We invite you to be a supporter of this wonderful campaign. All donations are tax-deductible, and our hope is to provide each teacher with a gift card to purchase school supplies.  In the event that we do not meet our goal, your donation may be divided between two classrooms.

How it Works

  • Adopt a Classroom: $200

  • Adopt a Grade: $4,000

  • Adopt a School

    • W.H. Burnett Early Childhood Center: $6,000 (ADOPTED by First United Methodist Church!)

    • Global Leadership Academy: $3,000 (ADOPTED by American National Bank of Texas!)

    • Gilbert Willie: $8,000 (ADOPTED by U-Rent It!)

    • J.W. Long: (ADOPTED by U-Rent It!)

    • Bruce Wood Elementary: $8,000

    • Furlough Middle School: $10,000

    • Terrell High School: $15,000

    • Terrell Alternative Center: $1,000

    • Child & Adolescent School: $1,000 (ADOPTED by U-Rent It!)

Teachers will receive information about their donor so they can express their appreciation. A door tag with the donor’s name will also hang over their classroom door.  If you decide to adopt an entire school, a banner recognizing your generous donation will be displayed in the front of the campus.

All donations for the “Adopt a Classroom” campaign will go towards the purchase of classroom school supplies.  All contributions will be collected by the Terrell Share Center, located at 103 Jones Street, Terrell, TX 75160. Please make checks payable to “Terrell Share Center” and on your memo line write “Adopt a Class.”  Checks can be mailed or dropped off to the Share Center directly or to the Terrell ISD Administration building located at 700 N. Catherine St. Our goal is to have all donations collected by Friday, July 21, 2023, so that teachers can take advantage of the Tax-Exempt Weekend which is held the first weekend in August.  Please contact Dr. Nicole Mansell with questions at nicole.mansell@terrellisd.org

Thank you for your continuing support of the children in our community.
