Student Transfers
Terrell ISD provides families with student transfer options through a board-approved transfer application process. Below you will find a link to our student transfer guidelines.
In-District Transfers
Terrell ISD follows the neighborhood school concept which means that students attend the school in their home attendance zone. As the District continues to grow, there is less availability of space at campuses to allow for student transfers outside their home attendance zones. For this reason, requests for intra-district transfers will generally be denied unless extenuating circumstances, such as documented compelling hardship, exist.
In-District Student Transfer Form
PLEASE NOTE: Applications may be submitted for review throughout the year if the student has a change of residence within the district and would like to remain at their current campus until the end of the school year. Proof of residency is required.
Out-of-District Transfers
Terrell ISD understands that sometimes a school transfer may be necessary or desired by families for a variety of reasons. Currently, we are able to accommodate a limited number of transfers at our campuses.
