Molly Porter

Terrell ISD is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Molly Porter as Principal of the Global Leadership Academy. Ms. Porter currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Gilbert Willie, Sr. Elementary and will step into her new role at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.  

Porter, who brings fourteen years of experience to the role, began her career as a kindergarten teacher in Marshall ISD.  For ten years she served as an elementary classroom teacher, with three of those serving as a first grade teacher at the Global Leadership Academy.   For the past four years she has served as an Assistant Principal at Community ISD and most recently in Terrell ISD at Gilbert Willie, Sr. Elementary.  Porter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Tyler.  She holds two Masters Degrees - the first in Early Childhood Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and the second in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler. 

“I am thrilled to be returning back to the Global Leadership Academy to serve as principal,” shared Porter.  “Being able to return to the campus I loved so dearly to serve in this capacity is a tremendous honor.  I look forward to working with the students, staff and families at GLA to ensure our students continue to receive the high quality education that our families have come to expect.”
