Application Process
Being identified for gifted and talented services does not automatically qualify a student for enrollment in the Global Leadership Academy (GLA.). Because the GLA is considered a campus of choice for students in grades K-5, it requires a separate application in addition to GT identification. There are limited spaces at each grade level. Once available spaces are filled, students interested in the GLA will be placed on a waiting list.
Application Timeline
Application Window Open- March 20
Application Window Closes- April 7
All Gifted and Talented (GT) screening for current Terrell ISD kindergarten students or older will begin in late Spring. Families of students applying to attend GLA will be contacted regarding screening appointment times, dates, and locations. Testing dates are to be determined.
The committee will meet in May to assess candidates.
Families of 1-5 grade students will be notified of the decision by May.
Families of Kinder students will be notified by June 30, 2023.
