The Terrell ISD Visual Arts Department is committed to making art developing skills and craftsmanship, engagement and persistence, envisioning, expressing, observing, reflecting, stretching and exploring, and understanding the relationship between their art as a valid expression of the world around them.

Terrell High School

A variety of art courses are offered at Terrell High School to meet the needs of our students. The sequential curriculum (Levels I- IV) has been developed according to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. Beginning with Level I, students prepare a portfolio of works that can be used for advanced course offerings. Students are provided with a wide variety of opportunities for exhibitions and competitions.

Herman Furlough, Jr. Middle School

Art is offered as an elective in the 6th/7th/8th grades at Furlough Middle School. The Middle School Art teachers encourage students to develop skills in a positive working environment. The sequential curriculum has been developed according to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
